Some of Our Most Asked Questions

No, to pursue a case we need the client to have filed an insurance claim and received a denial or underpayment from the insurance company.

A first-party insurance claim arises when a person or business has an insurance contract or policy and a disagreement with the insurance company over whether the insurer has fully complied with its contract.

Yes. The fine print on your insurance policy contains many conditions through which you may not be eligible for compensation. Their legal teams are keenly aware of these conditions, so when a claim is submitted for approval, they review everything closely before paying out a settlement. If your claim is denied, it does not mean you do not have a right to compensation. An experienced legal professional can help you understand if your insurer is acting unethically.

The timeline for receiving compensation in a personal injury case can vary widely based on several factors. These factors include the complexity of the case, the severity of your injuries, the willingness of the insurance company to negotiate, and whether the case goes to trial.

In some cases, settlements can be reached within a few months, particularly if liability is clear and damages are straightforward. However, more complicated cases or those that go to trial can take a year or more to resolve.

Our goal is to ensure you receive the full compensation you deserve as efficiently as possible. We will keep you informed throughout the process and work diligently to resolve your case in a timely manner.

Don’t Take Our Word For It

Daly & Black is an amazing law firm. They handled clients’ hail damage claims. Maria Gerguis, a partner and trial lawyer, is the absolute best. Will be referring clients to them in the future. They’re very responsive, professional, care about the little people, and WIN cases.

Whenever people ask me for recommendations on personal injury attorneys, the first attorney I think of is Andrew and his team at Daly & Black. I have referred several clients over to Andrew and his team, and they clients have been well taken care of. The clients’ feedback have always been how happy their cases were handled.

Daly & Black, P.C. are great to work with, we have been using them as a company for a year now and they have provided us with great service. The attention to detail and customer satisfaction are top-notch. They genuinely care about making things right for the property owner and contractor regarding the insurance process and the value of the claim.

These guys are fantastic lawyers (even if one is a former UCLA Bruin football player–I’ll overlook that as a USC grad). When disaster strikes, that’s who I refer my clients to. Love them!

I am very happy with my experience with Daly & Black. I would highly recommend them. I had difficulty with my homeowners insurance company denying a valid roof claim. Homes all around me were getting new roofs from a recent hail storm, yet my insurance company (Safeco / Liberty Mutual) kept using excuses to deny the claim. Daly & Black filed a lawsuit on my behalf and covered all of the associated expenses. I hope to not be in need of filling another lawsuit again, but if I did they would be my first phone call
