Biography

Blake Corley is an attorney at Daly & Black, P.C. whose practice focuses on mass tort litigation, catastrophic personal injury, explosion and disaster litigation, automobile collisions, and first-party property insurance claims. He represents individuals, families, and businesses across Louisiana who have been harmed by negligence, corporate misconduct, and catastrophic events. Mr. Corley has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorney in Louisiana.

In 2025, Mr. Corley was appointed by Judge Erica Sledge of the 21st Judicial District Court for the State of Louisiana to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Smitty’s Supply Explosion and Fire Litigation, a complex mass tort arising from the explosion and fire that impacted Roseland and surrounding communities. In this leadership role, he works alongside court-appointed counsel to investigate the disaster, coordinate discovery, and pursue accountability on behalf of residents and businesses affected by the incident.

Mr. Corley has also developed a strong practice representing policyholders in Louisiana storm damage litigation and first-party property insurance disputes. Following Hurricane Ida, he helped secure millions of dollars in insurance recoveries and bad-faith damages for homeowners and businesses whose claims were delayed, underpaid, or wrongfully denied by insurance companies. His work frequently involves disputes involving storm damage, bad faith insurance practices, and complex property loss claims.

Mr. Corley earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Early in his legal career, he clerked for the Honorable Desiree Charbonnet, former Chief Judge of the Municipal Court for the City of New Orleans, where he gained valuable insight into the judicial process and trial advocacy.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Corley worked extensively on local, statewide, and national political campaigns, developing a deep understanding of public policy, government, and community advocacy.

Mr. Corley serves on the Louisiana Association for Justice’s Board of Governors and the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law Alumni Board. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Louisiana Association for Justice, where he advocates for the rights of injured individuals and consumers throughout Louisiana.

Through his work in personal injury, complex litigation, mass tort cases, explosion and disaster litigation, and hurricane insurance claims, Mr. Corley is committed to holding corporations and insurers accountable while helping injured individuals and communities rebuild after catastrophic events.

Mr. Corley is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Corley enjoys traveling and experiencing the culture and cuisine of New Orleans and beyond.
