Sarah Hufft

Attorney

Biography

Sarah is an attorney at Daly & Black who focuses her practice on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Growing up in New Orleans as the daughter of two personal injury attorneys, Sarah developed a strong sense of purpose early on—fighting for individuals whose lives have been upended by negligence and injustice. She channels this personal inspiration into tenacious representation for her clients, often going up against powerful corporate and institutional defendants.

Sarah earned a Presidential Scholarship to attend Georgia Southern University, where she majored in Spanish and minored in Writing—skills that now allow her to communicate seamlessly with Spanish-speaking clients and craft compelling legal arguments. She went on to graduate cum laude from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she was repeatedly named a Paul M. Hebert and Dean’s Scholar. Her academic excellence was further recognized through multiple CALI Awards for the highest grades in key foundational courses, including Civil Procedure and Legal Research and Writing.

During law school, Sarah quickly distinguished herself as a formidable advocate. She placed second in the Ira S. Flory Mock Trial Competition and served on the Board of Advocates, an honor reserved for students demonstrating exceptional written and oral advocacy. As a Rule XX student prosecutor with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office, she tried her first case and obtained a guilty verdict, gaining early courtroom experience that now sets her apart in civil litigation. Following her standout performance in the Vinson & Elkins Trial Advocacy Program, Sarah was nominated to the Wex S. Malone Inn of Court by some of the region’s most respected trial attorneys and judges.

Before joining Daly & Black, Sarah represented plaintiffs in high-stakes personal injury and medical malpractice cases against major corporations and healthcare institutions. Her ability to navigate complex litigation and build persuasive cases makes her a valuable asset to her clients and the firm alike.

Sarah is a proud member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice—organizations that reflect her dedication to protecting the rights of the injured and holding wrongdoers accountable.

Outside the courtroom, Sarah enjoys exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, attending sporting events, and spending time with her miniature poodle mix, Teddy.
