Biography
Jonathan Sar is a Shareholder of Daly & Black, P.C. and the Managing Attorney of Daly & Black Colorado. Jonathan specializes in insurance denial and personal injury matters. He has significant experience representing property owners in lawsuits against their insurance companies in Colorado state and federal court. In his personal injury practice, Jonathan represents clients who have been injured by the negligence of others, including in the areas of motor vehicle collisions, premises liability (slip/trip and fall), wrongful death, dog bites, ski accidents, and medical malpractice.
Jonathan has helped obtain many significant settlements and verdicts for his clients. He strives to provide his clients with effective, efficient, honest, and compassionate representation that is tailored to his clients’ individual goals for their cases. Jonathan takes great pride in representing people whose insurance claims have been unreasonably delayed or denied, or who have been injured through no fault of their own. Along with the talented and hardworking attorneys and staff at Daly & Black, Jonathan is proud to help individuals and small businesses stand up to large insurance companies.
Prior to joining Daly & Black as a Shareholder, Jonathan practiced as a founding partner of Leventhal Sar LLC, a boutique plaintiffs’ litigation firm that operated in the Cherry Creek area of Denver for six years. Before starting his own law firm, Jonathan spent several years working as an attorney at O’Melveny & Myers, one of the oldest and largest law firms in Los Angeles. Upon moving back to Denver, Jonathan worked at the Denver offices of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and Polsinelli.
Jonathan graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and was an Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, one of the most widely circulated student-edited law reviews.
Jonathan has lived in Denver for most of his life. He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and two young sons, as well as his friends and family. Jonathan is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Dartmouth Lawyers Association. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Denver Jewish Day School.
