Melissa Wray is an experienced litigator who has represented clients on both sides of a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, labor and employment, civil rights, personal injury, toxic tort, and intellectual property. Melissa has tried cases in state and federal court and has extensive motion practice experience. She has successfully briefed and argued cases to Texas courts of appeal and the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.

Melissa began her legal career with Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP, one of the largest full-service law firms in the Southwest. She was an associate for two years in the Austin office of California-based Brobeck Phleger & Harrison, LLP, which was at the time one of the largest law firms in the country, and worked for Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson, LLP, a well-respected boutique firm in Waco, Texas. Prior to joining Daly & Black, PC, Melissa maintained a successful solo practice, often being hired by other lawyers to handle complex dispositive motion and appellate briefing and oral argument.

Melissa is very involved in the schools and extracurricular activities of her three children, Morgan, Miles, and Marshall. In her spare time, she enjoys running and reading.
