Attorney Jonathan Sar represents clients in various types of personal injury
matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death,
dog bites, ski accidents, and medical malpractice, as well as insurance
bad faith and employment cases. Jonathan has litigated personal injury,
insurance bad faith, and employment cases in Colorado state and federal
court, and has helped obtain millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts
for his clients.
Jonathan also has a wide range of experience advocating on behalf of his
clients in the area of business law. His clients have included individuals
and large businesses in myriad industries such as healthcare, private
equity, technology, and natural and organic food. He has handled complex
issues in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, start-up ventures, and
commercial contracts. Through this experience, Jonathan has developed
exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, and his advocacy has led
to successful results for his clients.
Prior to founding Leventhal Sar LLC, Jonathan spent several years working
as an attorney at O’Melveny & Myers, one of the oldest and largest
law firms in Los Angeles. Most recently, Jonathan worked at the Denver
office of Polsinelli PC – the fastest growing U.S. law firm.
Recently, Jonathan was selected by the National Trial Lawyers for inclusion
in the Top 40 Under 40 Association. Membership into the Top 40 Under 40
is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals
who exemplify superior qualifications, results, and leadership as a young
trial lawyer. Jonathan was also recently selected as a Rising Star by
cum laude from Harvard Law School and was an Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal
of Law & Public Policy, one of the most widely circulated student-edited
Jonathan has lived in Denver for most of his life. He enjoys skiing, mountain
biking, and spending time with his wife and two young sons, as well as
his friends and family. Jonathan is a member of the Board of Trustees
of Denver Jewish Day School; he also recently volunteered as a reading
buddy for third graders, and served on a philanthropic grant-making board
for the Rose Community Foundation.
Jonathan is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Colorado
Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
