On June 27, 2017 Richard Daly and John Scott Black of Daly & Black
spoke to a packed house of roofers and public adjusters, in hopes of better
educating the Denver community on the pitfalls of dealing with unscrupulous
insurers. Among the topics covered were issues related to overhead and
profit, the refusal to pay for certain upgrades or legitimate supplements,
and issues relating to the Mad Sky pricing system being used by many insurers.
Daly & Black recently opened a Colorado office, and hopes to further
educate consumers and third parties through free seminars such as these.
Colorado’s Denver and Colorado Springs communities have seen epic
hail storms in the past twelve months, and insurers are already taking
advantage of our state’s residents and business owners. But Colorado
has favorable consumer laws that make much of this behavior illegal.
But Colorado has laws in place to protect consumers and roofers from precisely
this type of behavior. Which is why Daly & Black makes every effort
to educate the community on how to deal with claims that are improperly
delayed, denied, or underpaid. Insurers frequently lowball claims, and
do not always have the policyholder’s interests at heart. Which
is why it is important to arm yourself with all the facts and tools needed
to deal with these insurers.
Daly & Black levels the playing field with insurers that break the
rules. Our firm only charges a fee if we win – and offers free consultations
to any person having questions about a potential case. If you or your
business suffered a hail storm related loss, contact one of our lawyers
